Roma and I have been out several times in the last week to shoot the fall colors and they’ve been fantastic. We started last weekend near June Lake,Grant Lake and Conway Summit, as you’ll see here. Since then we’ve been back to June and up Bishop Creek twice. Wednesday was amazing; it was snowing hard but the aspens were still bright and visible. There’s been a lot of photographers out in the area lately, but the snow kept a lot of them away.
Here are the photos from the first day of our adventures. We started from here in Bishop and went north on Highway 395 to Conway Summit, between Lee Vining and Bridgeport. The aspens near the summit there are some of the best every year. We caught it just about right this year.
After that we went down to the June Lake Loop and there were a lot of people there fishing, biking and checking out the colors. It was great to see.
That’s it for this trip. We’ve got the rest of the week’s trip coming here soon, as well as to Facebook. Check back there for links to more. Thanks!
