Roma and I decided to get out this weekend to check on a few of our favorite spots before the fall colors set in.
On Saturday we went north to the June Lake area, and drove the loop to Gull Lake and Grant Lake.
Yesterday, for Labor Day, we went up to South Lake and the Bishop Basin. The water is low up there, but the weather has been fantastic and the crowds are down with all the schools back in session.
We’ve got some family in town for the week so we’ll be on the move a lot in the next few days. We’re headed to Mono Lake today, and then maybe we’ll get up into the White Mountains in the next few days.

A Small Hello from France,
Today, 11 September. It is a very emotional moment for the Americans, and also in the world.
But fortunately your mountains are always too beautiful.
In France also, the autumn gradually reveals itself before our eyes. Mother Nature is going to make his bed and slowly falls asleep for the winter.
Bye.
