#262: The Electric UTV in Bishop’s Black Canyon

We’ve had a busy few weeks, but we’ve been having more fun than ever.

We’ve had our ups and downs: 4,000 to 11,000 feet, and we’re feeling great! It’s been a quiet, smooth ride through the sand and over the rocks.

We’ll have a lot of photos and video coming up, including a few trips up Silver Canyon and through the Buttermilks, but first is a video of the Electric UTV in Black Canyon.

The crew took it out there to test the solar panel and the regen handle, which will create electricity when engaged on downhill rides. It will give us more miles and more fun.

There’s a good explanation in this video of the regen function, as well as the new Driver-Ahead screen, which we haven’t installed yet. It will have GPS, Internet access and cell phone connectivity, and will all be displayed digitally.

Every few days we’ll be adding more. I hope you are having as much fun as we had.

Thanks Phil. We’ll keep you up to date on the project right here. There’s big changes going on this week but it’ll be back soon, better than ever.

Really exciting video of the progress everyone is making on this fun vehicle! Must be such a joy to work on and share the experience with. I work a lot with video and I know it can be time consuming – wonderful job guys! It gives us all a true feel for where you’re at with the project. Thanks much!
