#217: Fall Colors Around the June Lake Loop

The word is out that the fall colors are beautiful in the June Lake Loop and Roma and I went to see it for ourselves. From Bishop, to 395, and around the loop.

We started around the back of Gull Lake, then went north by Silver Lake and came out at Grant Lake. Now you get to see what we found.

There were people everywhere. You didn’t dare stop unless you could find a good pullout from the road. They were all taking pictures–telephone to tripods. I think most of them were just using their phones and small cameras, but those do a great job too.

It was prettier than we expected. It took us five hours to see what you are going to see in a few minutes. Enjoy!

Hi Dave, I was wondering about the state of fall colors around June. Nice display. My fav is the Carson Peak w/ trees along the bottom. Nice light.

Very nice photos, Dave. I think my favorite is the one of Carson Peak and Horsetail Falls. I’ve been there hundreds of times, but never seen them with that perspective before.
