#187: Alabama Hills Colors and Shapes

A lot of the beauty that many people know of this area is from photos and film in between Lone Pine And Mt. Whitney, in the Alabama Hills.

It has been a movie set for Hollywood for many years, and it was a movie set for our perfect day.

I have enjoyed the landscapes there for most of my life, and photography keeps me going back.

The rocks come to life. They turn into sharks and walruses and aliens right before your eyes, especially in the evening. In the spring, the flowers liven it up even more. There’s lupine, cactus, Indian Paintbrush and sage all blooming at once.

These are from a trip Penny, Roma and I did in the spring a few years ago. We had great company, good food and the pictures were even better!
